[REQUEST] Acer G9-793 BIOS MOD G-Sync
#1
Hello Everyone!
I'm new here to the forums! I currently have an Acer Predator G9-793-71TW 17” which was equipped with a (LG - LP173WF4-SPF2) display and working G-SYNC. I have recently upgraded the display to the (AUO - B173HAN03.1) which works great but lost the ability to use G-SYNC. From all the research I’ve done I’m wondering if the new panel isn’t whitelisted to the BIOS. Could this be possible? And could a BIOS mod be created to accept the new panel and enable G-SYNC?
I’m aware that I would need to use the SPI-programmer and SOIC8 and would be fully willing to go that route if such BIOS changes were possible. I would also be more than happy to donate to the cause!
 Any feedback is always welcome.
Thank You
