[REQUEST] Acer Veriton X2630G support for i7-4790
#1
Hi! I have this old Acer Veriton X2630G which originally came with an Intel core I3-4130. Some years ago I have upgraded the CPU to an I7-4790, but since then I can't actually reboot the pc, only power it on and off. It seems like the reboot function doesen't work anymore on my pc, just the shutdown one. It actually doesen't depens on the OS since it has the same problem over Windows and Linux.

I was thinking into transforming the PC into a router with opnsense, but I need to be able to reboot it if  it's necessary, so I'm asking here if it's possible to mod the bios in order to get it working.

It's running the latest bios available on the Acer website.

If you need some other info I'll provide them.

Thanks

Done, just powered the machine on after applying the default values.
This is the output from the update command:

Done, now the pc correctly reboots itself.
Thank you very much for the help, I used that bugged pc for three years and it was a pain.
