[REQUEST] Bios Unlock Asus Zenbook Flip 14 UM462DA
#1
Hi,
I have an Asus Zenbook Flip 14 (Full model: UM462DA-AI028T) and there is no option to change the amount of VRAM the AMD Radeon Vega 8 (integrated video card) takes. I would like to unlock the bios options (maybe all the hidden ones) because at the moment my VRAM is set by default to 2 GB, meaning I can use only 5.9/8 GB.
Can it be done?

The bios dump done with AFUWIN v3.05.04 is attached below.

Thanks in advance,
Maicol

Hi~
Do you have hardware programmer?? It might need a programmer to read/write data from bios chip to do this mod.Because it's a amd platform machine.

Unlock hidden options that you can see at amibcp can't help you out to adjust amount of vram , but i found out there is a option name "UMA Frame buffer Size" under the AMD CBS menu ,does it is you need??

Hi, I don't have it (I don't even know what it is...)

Yes, the "UMA frame buffer size" is the option I need to lower the VRAM

Hi,

Just wanted to follow-up on this post. I would also like to have this bios modded to access advanced menus, is the hardware programmer still necessary?

up-to-date bios is attached. Thanks
