I have a Compaq CQ56-148CA and its running well, just looking to upgrade the wlan card to:

Intel 7260HMW

Its my understanding i need to remove the vendor whitelist restriction on the bios.

that could not have worked better/easier.

There does seem to be a small issue with getting into the bios after flashing, but rapidly hitting esc + F10 gets the job done... insignificant issue.

the Intel wlan card that I couldn't use outside of a tiny paper weight is now 100% running in 5g mode faster and more stable then that POS Atheros. The card cost me $24.99, only fair that makes it way to Donovan6k.

How would I go about donating to him? i searched for his name in this forum figuring it would be in his signature but came up dry.
