[REQUEST] Enable Non-Signed UEFI Boot Unlock for HP DV6-4008TX
#1
Model: HP Pavilion DV6-4008TX
Latest BIOS (F.0F) - http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54077.exe
Would love to be able to boot non-HP-signed UEFI systems if possible please (ie. GPT-partitioned Windows 8).
Also access to the hidden options and Intel Wireless-N 7260 added to the whitelist would be nice, but not as important.
Many thanks,
Tom

Isnt there a Secure Boot option in the BIOS to disable?

No. The default BIOS is very limited, unfortunately.
To elaborate, it has UEFI boot functionality, but by default only things signed by HP, such as the 'HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Support Environment'.
Here's some pictures:

You can try this:

No white list, hidden menus unlocked.

Report.

Thanks fjfc,

But unfortunately I get this error message:

I've tried it on two of the same computers...

That's very awesome fjfc - more options than I've ever seen in any BIOS!
However I can't see anything new that should relate to UEFI, or Secure Boot etc.
I'll try installing Windows fresh on a GPT partition in the next day or two, which will test whether it's working now anyway.
Many thanks, Tom W

There may be an option on BIOS to disable fn keys or change its behavior
