[REQUEST] Fujitsu AH531 CPU support add/check
#1
I'd like to add support for some of the rpga 939 cpus that have hd4000 iGPUS (As this would be the only way to upgrade the graphics on this laptop), is this possible?
Does anyone have the original unmodded 1.30 bios if not so I can at least try and read what cpu support is currently enabled in the BIOS?
It's a PITA to read the BIOS on mine without having a raw BIOS to flash if it goes [censored] up. The only tool I have seems to request a valid BIOS to wrie even when I only click the backup option so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Only CPUs with Sandy Bridge are supported by HM65 chipset.
So maximum GPU is Intel HD 3000.

Ah [censored]... I was hoping to squeeze a little more out of it.

I found two conflicting bits of info - one site says that it supports the i7-2640M and i5-2430M but another says that it only supports the i7-2620M and i5-2410M, do you know which site is right as I'm hoping to upgrade to the fastest i5 or i7 this thing will take depending on the price of the chips (looks to be £20/£60 depending).

Try to make BIOS backup by Intel Flash Programming Tool
Win x64: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6400726/FPT_Windows64.zip
Win x86: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6400726/FPT_Windows32.zip
DOS: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6400726/FPT_DOS.zip

E.g.: fptw64 -BIOS -D c:\Backupbios.bin

I've found your BIOS - http://solutions.us.fujitsu.com/download...S_V130.exe
It has a microcode for CPUID=0x206A7 - version: 0x26, date: 01/25/2012
So all CPU for Socket G2 with Sandy Bridge core are supported.
But TDP more than 35W isn't recommended.

Just waiting for it to upload. My internet is slower than a turtle nailed to a snail, I'll post a link shortly.

So the  i7-2640M and i5-2430M should run in this board and be within tdp limits?

Thanks very much for the help, I appreciate it.
