[REQUEST] Gateway NV55S Whitelist Removal

Please my apologies if I am posting this in the wrong area but I just bought an AC wireless card but the laptop wont boot and I want to see if I should keep or return the card. Any leads?

Ok went to store and guy indeed mentioned my laptop whitelisted the wifi ..kind of a bummer :-( I would love any help...worthless having a new router if you cant upgrade your card!! Thanks

Hi friend,
Packard Bell, Gateway are Acer's companies and have same Bioses for all MoBo !
I never found Whitelist on Acer Bioses !!!
I have modded a lot of and can say that It's not possible, only issue may be into Eeprom Wireless Card as only Intel WWan Card can lock his Card internaly !
I will give a look, but It seems to me not probable !

wow thanks for this!! I will give a try and reply back..The odd thing is that I dont get the bios message when I have the wireless card in it.. is like before the bios comes up..I wonder if card is defective who knows..Thanks again

hello BDMaster. Just wanted to thank you for this. Although the bios worked, I didnt see any wifi options to be edited. Very strange!! Is as if the card was locked inside because I dont even get the bios part..I fiddled around changing a few settings in the PCIe area but nothing. All I see is Gen1 or Gen2 and Auto. Tried disabling the bluetooth, 1394 nothing..Anyways, thanks a million for your help!!!!! big cheers!

I was wondering if anyone on here has had any trouble installing a Intel 7260 wireless card into a gateway nv55s13u? for whatever reason after I'm all finished installing the card and go to boot it up all I get is a black screen and nothing more, giving me no access to the bios or no other commands. what could be causing this?

I have nv55s02u, with a6-3400m installed a wifi card but didnt work.
