UEFI + HP = RSA Lock !!!
I don't think they will unlock anything
You can buy an SPI PGM cheaper with a Pomona Soic Clip (amount $20,00) from China !
Then You have to hope that your MoBo has not issue to reflash Bios on-Board and
It's done !
Then If You would to buy all tools Hot Gun Solderer etc. It's not doable !

hey man thanks for the reply's I ended up just returning my intel SSD 530 drive and bought a SSD+HDD hybrid drive instead ...seems to work just fine so far so this thread can be removed because I am not going to waste the money on HP going through all that work for a simple HDD but it seems to run great with the hybrid (seagate 1tb 8GB flash )
