[REQUEST] Insyde MobilePro BIOS unlock
#1
Hello everyone,

I am currently using a Fujitsu Siemens L7310W, with an Insyde MobilePro BIOS, in its 4.20.10 version.

I have been tryng for a week now to unlock its hidden features, but without luck.

You will find attached the latest BIOS version I flashed on my computer (r1.08), as well as a BIT report.

If anyone could help me, I would be really happy.

Thanks in advance for reading my post  Sleepy

It seems is not moddable.
I tried to decompress your bios by AMI, Award, Phoenix tools but failed.
Phoenix tool said your bios is not Phoenix/Dell/Insyde if vendor is Insyde.
I cannot decapsulate and find what are tabs presented in your bios.
So i cannot help you, I'm sorry Sad

Thank you anyway for trying! Do you think it is possible to flash another BIOS on my computer ?

Insyde made protection after 2009. Another bioses flashable with official utulity until 2009 100%.Your bios is too old so it can be reflash, but i cannot decompress it Sad

I just got this answer from Insyde, and it does not surprise me unfortunately.

I will try to reach Fujitsu Siemens tomorrow...

Besides, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, Sony Vaio and Acer use Insyde techologies to produce bioses. Each bios can be unpacked, modified and repacked.
Our instruments cannot identify your bios and cannot detect what are hidden options.
As i know, first unpacking insyde bioses have 1 Mb size and can be moddable.
Yes, each vendor inject own unique protection to prevent unauthorised modifications. For example, bios of HP after 2012 is internal RSA signed and not moddable at this time (But there are first steps to win protection)

Just stumbled across this thread by googling, as I have the very same problem.

Very interesting to read that everyone can make "His own Insyde BIOS".

Ive got a Acer Aspire 9500 (Modell DQ70) from 2005.
Insyde Software MobilePRO Version 4.20.10, using the "Acer HQD70" Bios 1.70. (512kb)

I tried all the tools out there, without any success.

So the goal would be to 1st decompress/decrypt this 512kb file to 1MBit...and then be able to re-compress/encrypt it ?

Well, if anybody is still interesed I havent given up on this BIOS yet and made some progress :

I also started to make a list of all Laptops using the Insyde MobilePRO 4.20.10 BIOS.
Some can be unpacked and viewed with the Insydeco Decompressor tool...others not.
