We can try but is difficult !
So 1st try to use thsi SLP Marker :

http://rghost.net/8PpdMqNJY

Use Slick Toolkit and upload the Scrennshots for Basic, Adv etc.
Then use RW Anything to get a Report :

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...atest-News

And all these tools to give me infos about your Bios . . .
Use this tool run It as Admin and upload here the result file :

http://rghost.net/658W4s2SF http://tiny.cc/rwy24x

http://rghost.net/53128665 http://tiny.cc/bxy24x

Use AIDA64 tool too (cracked version to get FULL REPORT) and upload a Report too

let me know
Regards

OK, now i have done all. But still no success.

The SLP marker said success, but still no SLIC.

Universal BIOS Backup does not run on this system.

All pictures and results can be found here files on box.com

I hope will will find a way. Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,
Your Bios is not reflashable as We got into result file

Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!

So You can try only to Downgrade to v. 40 ( I haven't find It)
or get the Tools (SPI PGM + Clip) look here :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...5#pid74575

let me know

(06-17-2015, 11:11 AM)arbitrary Wrote: Hello guys, I'm trying to edit the BIOS in order to change the DVMT setting to 96MB rather than the default 32MB.

Just so you know, I'm currently running the B0CN75WW version of the BIOS found here:
B0CN75WW

A newer version also exists:
B0CN79WW

Initially I extracted the .exe file then I used PhoenixTool in order to extract the PE32Image in SetupUtility then I extracted the EFI using the Universal EFI Extractor Tool, I used the EFI text file in order to figure out where the DVMT setting is and then used HxDen in order to edit the PE32Image, this all worked fine I was able to change the default setting from 32MB to 96MB.
^ Verified the above by using the same method whereby the extracted EFI text file showed that the default is 96MB.

When I tried flashing the image I got an error message: InsydeH20 Secure : Error Invalid Firmware!!!

I'm stuck at this point.

Any Ideas?

What I tried previously:
Using setup_var in order to change the settings however I got an Error: 0x000000000000001a.

-This PC came in with a BIOS version of B0CN40WW which I cant find anywhere, regrettably I updated to the newest version which I believe is protected or something Sad
~Thanks Heart

you managed to unlock ?.yet you have B0CN40WW?

Hi mate,
We have to read the Firmware to patch It (Bios is only a Region and Programmer Flash all)
So You have to get the Tools (SPI PGM + Clip) to make this job :

Hello,

First of all, thank to everyone in advance helping to figure out how to get what I would love to achieve. Even though my knowledge is limited, I am a good student and I am willing to make it work  Shy

I have a Lenovo G50-80 with a BIOS version B0CN75WW. I would like to increase the DVMT of my Intel HD Graphics 5500 to 96. As far as I have read, my BIOS is supposed to be locked but I am not sure about it as I haven't checked it yet. As I understand, it was possible to do this in the version B0CN40WW, but that version of the BIOS is not available anymore, and it would necessary to unlock every other version.

I know that I will have to run some tools and upload results but I am not sure what those tools are, so I begin uploading the report of AIDA and I wait for the tools to run and complete the information and know how to proceed.

Thank you.
