[REQUEST] Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 (6YETxxWW) Whitelist Removal

I am looking for help in installing a dual band card in my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 30 to replace the single band original.

Machine type == 0196 24U
BIOS == 6YET29WW ver 1.12

I purchased an approved Intel Wimax 6250 AGN card but after installing the laptop halts during POST with "unauthorized card" error.

Please let me know if you need any more info from me.

Thanks for your help but I followed your instructions and got this error after running flash.bat:

Phoenix Phlash16 error:

Flash driver interface too big!

Press any key to reboot.

Please advise.

From pure DOS?

Yes. I followed your instructions exactly and booted to USB memory stick formatted with MS-DOS. Then, at the prompt I typed flash.bat. The phlash16 splash screen came up and it started to run but the error came up after a few seconds.

Any fix for this?

I found a different version of phlash16.exe here:

Using this version I was able to mod the bios. I will let you know how the new wifi card works later.

Lenovo wanted me to pay $201 for a wifi card for a 4 yr old laptop that probably wasn't even worth that much itself. Had the card not been so outrageously and unfairly priced, I would probably have bought it from them. Instead, I purchased it on the web for much much less and installed it successfully due to your help.

Ok friend,
unpack It using Winrar or 7Zipp thn rename folder as mod and move It to C:\ HD.
Then open a Comand Prompt with Admin Rights and run these comands :

cd C:\mod
GO.bat

You'll find a result.rar file into folder or on dsktop, so upload It here for me.
