Hello friends!

I have a request for someone cleverer than I! Big Grin

I have Lenovo X131e (Intel) laptop and it's good but has nasty whitelist for Broadcom Network card. No boot when using anything else and details of compatible cards are sketchy.

Bios D/L: http://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/downloads/ds029771

PCI ID: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4359&SUBSYS_060714E4&REV_00

BIOS Version:                                            G8ETA5WW (2.92 )

Can anyone help?

Thanks!!

Hello, I've recently bought the x131e with the i3 3227u. I tried to remove the whitelist myself, but hit a wall when searching for what I needed to exactly modify. I've also dumped the bios (2.92) using freedos and fpt, so I'll include it if that is needed. I will be more than happy to donate if this successfully works. Thanks in advance!

Two years ago, in this same thread, BDMaster kindly provided a modded no-whitelist BIOS for me. BIOS version was G8ET99WW (2.59).
It worked perfectly, but by now Lenovo has released several BIOS updates for this model.

I updated BIOS to the latest version (2.92) and then successfully re-disabled the whitelist. I just posted a guide in a new thread for future reference.
