[REQUEST] Lenovo ThinkPad X200s - EIST/DualIDA Mod
#11

(09-12-2014, 08:09 AM)BDMaster Wrote: Hi friend,
Bios is the only file that is always the same for all version 16 - 32 - 64 Bits !!!
Only flashing program have to be changed basin on S.O. version, so for your Bios You have only get the 64 Bits
version from Original Folder and replace to the 32 Bits, only preserve the PHLASH.INI file that contains modified data !!!

TP-6D - PHLASH.INI :
ImageFile=..\01B9000_WL.ROM

TP-7X - PHLASH.INI :
ImageFile=..\01B9100_WL.ROM

Does this mean that I am able to flash the 32-bit BIOS mod over my 64-bit BIOS if the config files are changed? Right now if I try to flash even the unmodified 32-bit BIOS the installer fails with a "Driver error" where the 64-bit installer does not, it is an odd issue. Also I would assume a 64-bit BIOS should be matched with 64-bit OS for best compatibility/results?

I only said that Bios File not all files including flashing tools (WinPhlash.exe + etc.)
are always in 64 Bit form !!! These ones 01B9000_WL.ROM or 01B9100_WL.ROM are 64 Bits !!!
But the tools to flash them can be write in 32 or 64 Bits, so if your S.O. is in 64 Bits refuse to run a program
to 32 Bits (theorycaly It can run too).
It's the same as a shuttle and pilot, so shuttle may be 16 - 32 - 64 Bits meanwhile Pilot is always 64 Bits.
I can use my laptop with internal Bios to run O.S. like XP or Win7 or Win8 and I haven't change Bios into my laptop to cange S.O.
I can change It only to get Slic 2.0 (for Vista) or 2.1 (for Win7) or 2.2 / 2.3 (for Win8) just to activate my Windows copy, or to modify Setuputility or to unlock tabs and remove Whitelist !!!
So the problem is only for the vector (program to 32 or 64 Bits adapt to S.O. version 32 or 64 Bits) not for the content.
I hope You understand what I mean . . .
I said too about .ini files to preserve them, because when You overwrite the 32 Bits with 64 Bits programs files You could loose that file and It
needs to flash yje modified Bios.
I uploaded the Bioses from Serg008 with 64 Bits version too so You hae only use these ones !!!
Let me know
Regards
