Hey, thank you for your help doing all of this, think you could help me too?
i tried upgrading my bios and it overwrote my previous modified bios. need to re-mod but not sure how to do it all. previously i only successfully overclocked gpu, was not able to make wifi work.


I would love the following
- Battery whitelist removal
- WiFi / WWAN whitelist removal
- Advanced Menu
- 16GB eGPU fix
- To be able to overclock  the CPU { I guess set multiplier to 0x194 to 0? - MSR Bit?}

if not possible atleast the Wifi Whitelist removal.

I have a bricked W530 here, and the latest binaries for both ROMs I could find are from 2016...

thanks for your reply.

But how to recover my bios when there's just a black screen?
It worked with the dumps I found on the internet (from 2016), but after updating it with the official updater from Lenovo to the latest BIOS, it staid black again.
So I was thinking: When I have to do all the work again anyway, then this time at least with up to date ROMs.

I wonder why it worked with the ROMs from 2016 without any beep. Silly me, I shouldn't have touched it again.
Are you sure that it will beep when I overwrite both ROMs, not only the BIOS?

Yours chip i broken.
you nead a buy a new one bios chip and program it to programmer. then desoldering old and soldering a new one.

No, my chip is not broken. I could program them. The problem is that I only have very old binaries for the chips... Even when I had new chips, I still need something to write on it.

Hi, my w530 will be arriving this week, am I correct in assuming I still need a hardware flasher for this mod? I will re-read and get everything I need for the mod if so, and reading on I need a dump of only the 4MB Rom which is the white label in the attached image.

Could you let me know if this is all still correct and up to date, also, seeing donations range from $20 upwards, which I am happy to oblige.
