[REQUEST] Lenovo Z70-80 (ABCNxxWW) BIOS Unlock
#21
(11-17-2015, 02:28 PM)BDMaster Wrote: Hi friend,
Your Bios Backup is crapped look here (I extracted Bios file from Original) :

http://rghost.net/8Zkfdlbkh

So when You launch the Unversal Bios Backup Tool put the flag and set the size more than
6144 KB e..g.8192 KB !
Then reupload file here !
Let me know
Regards

I don´t understand bro
look, this is the description of files in my online folder

*ABCN96WW.rar is my original Bios where inside there is many files and exactly my Bios file is ABCN96ww.fd
*LENOVO-ABCN96WW.rom is the extracted backup with Universal Bios Backup.exe
*Report.htm is the AIDA64 report
*Universal Bios Backup.jpg is the picture captured of setting to realize the backup with Bios Backup.exe

I know that files with extension *.fd ; *.bin ; *.rom can be changed between they

Tell me what you need, to modify my Bios? because the real Bios file is ABCN96WW.fd that is inside of ABCN96WW.rar

or if you want to prove it, download it here
https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn96ww.exe

After
run file and it'll create a folder in C:\BIOS\ABCN96WW.exe; after that we can extract manually this file and we'll have many files include ABCN96WW.fd

Tell me Bro is correct the Bios file modified included in your last link ?

what original bios file did you use? maybe this?

ABCN96WW.fd
https://mega.nz/#!ylcxwbTY!8IW5btI2FWj7Q...ldMSYSru60

My question is because this file ABCN96WW.fd has a size of 8.63 Mb and your bios.bin file modified has a size of 6 MB.

I want to be sure because I don't want to break my laptop. I'm not a programmer but I think the PhoenixTool app can open and modify files FD, BIN and ROM

Tell me what software did you use to modify my BIOS and if were possible, Could you modify the original bios ABCN96WW.fd?

Give me news, I don't want to break my Laptop.

Thanks in advanced.

But dude, why can't use this file
https://mega.nz/#!ylcxwbTY!8IW5btI2FWj7Q...ldMSYSru60
(This is an original bios file extracted from ABCN96WW.exe publicated on Lenovo web site)
https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn96ww.exe

I can open it with PhoenixTool but i don't know what modify to unlock hidden options to show tabs.

How can you use another  bios file like a template? if each bios is different than others.

Sorry if I bother you, but i need to solve this, I can pay for your job.

Give me news about this.

Hi mate,
All UEFI Bioses are RSA Signed and Protected so not possible to rewrite by
standard Installer !
Only our possibilities are sml7 (prr.exe) tool and Sleep Bug on Insyde Bios then
only SPI PGM + Clip can do the job !

Hey,
I am looking for a possibility to unlock menus in my BIOS, it's pretty limited in its stock form.
Particularly, I am looking to unlock the DVMT pre-allocation size option.

Here is what the stickied post asks for:

  • Exact make & model: Lenovo Z70-80 (i5-5200U / GT 840M / 1080p version)
  • BIOS image: attachment "ABCN96WW.fd.zip"
  • "Screenshots" of setup menus: attached as well.
Thanks!

I downgrade to 74 and modify the bioss.fd by myself. Then use the InsydeFlash.exe to write back, it flashed without any error. But after reboot, the "Unauthorized Wireless network card is ...." message still show up. I take out the whitelist module, and use IDA to dissemble, found it's still the original version. That means my MOD haven't been written. I tried fptw64, it always show
"
Error 201: [FPTw64.exe] cannot be run on the current platform.
Please contact your vendor.
"
Seems there is mechanism of protection.
My question is, is there other way to force write the MOD without using SPI hardware? Thanks.
