For anyone else using it, I had to downgrade and run the modded version only. Running the original version will mean you cant then run the modded version. Lenovo have historical BIOS files on their website.

Is it possible to upload this modified BIOS (based on the original http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj12us.iso) as an ISO file? I don't have Windows installed so I can't run the flash utility in that RAR file.

I can, however, boot Lenovo's ISO files from a USB drive (using the "geteltorito.pl" script to extract the El Torito image from the ISO and "dd" it onto a USB drive).

Or maybe can I just overwrite the files in the 8QET58WW and 8RET54WW directories (these exist in both the ISO and the flash utility, and I think these contain the actual BIOS code)?

EDIT: Never mind, I've installed Windows and successfully ran FLASH.BAT as described in the readme. Everything seems fine, now I can use the Ericsson F5521gw.

I'd like to install a Intel 7260 wireless/bluetooth into my Lenovo x121e, but when I install it i get an error saying there is an unsupported device, so from what I understand I need a BIOS which has been whitelisted, to allow other cards. I have looked on the site, but all the links to the modded BIOS are dead, would you please help.

My laptop is a Lenovo x121e, type 3045CTO, currently running Windows 10 Pro, 8GB Ram, and 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD. BIOS version is 8QET58WW (1.19). Unfortunately I don't know which BIOS manufacturer this is, sorry.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance, ans I don't know which BIOS and how to install it, thanks for your help.

Hello,

I want to install a BCM94311MCG Card in my Lenovo Thinkpad x121e (the version with the Core i3). I have to install it in the second slot because it doesn't fit into the first. Everything works fine in Windows but I have an annoying startup error:

0187: EAIA data access error.
Press Esc to continue or F1 to enter Setup. 




If I press Escape Windows does boot normally and everything works fine. But is there a way to get rid of this annoying message with a bios patch or with any tool?

I've updated to BIOS to 1.19 but that also changed nothing. http://support.lenovo.com/de/de/products...s/DS019252

my ThinkPad x121e (Type 3045 / Intel i3 / Bios 1.19) ist still running under Windows 7 64-bit.

Now i want to upgrade it with a WWAN-Modul like Sierra MC7710 or MC7403. But there is a Whitelist…..


Can anyone help?

Laut Titel. Ich bin nach der Intel-Version des Bios (Modell 3045). Der von Ihnen angegebene Link enthält nur die AMD-Version des BIOS.

Behoben für AMD und INTEL Version!

Hi, I'd like to get the whitelist removed from my x121e. I have Intel 8QET currently running stock 1.7 bios. 

I can see there are some downloads here but I'm struggling to apply them. 

I'm running WIN 10 and when I execute flash.bat it just does nothing. I tried to use rufus to create a bootable usb from the ISO provided but that also fails - saying the ISO format/compression format is not supported.

Any help appreciated
