[REQUEST] PRIMERGY RX2540 M1 microcode update
#1
Hello, have a Primergy RX2540 M1 and wanted to ask if someone could update the microcode to add support to Xeon E5-2600V4 processors.

Product: RX2540 M1
Motherboard: D3289-A13
Chipset: Intel C612

Downloads provided by fujitsu:

D3289-A1x - Open Source Software for Admin package
D3289-A1x - Admin package - Compressed Flash Files
Flash BIOS RX2540 M1 (ASP for Windows)

Tried to follow a guide, but the location of everything is not the same as explained, and can't figure out the differences. Do not know if it has any kind of signature that prevents to accept a modified BIOS, if so, it would be great to know as well. I have SPI programers so bricking it isn't an issue here.

Thanks in advance.

Post a screenshot of Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Explain exactly what happens when you try to boot with new CPU.

Thanks for your reply

Did not install any SO yet, but just tested it with a couple of E5-2609 V4s and it doesn't boot, just beeps and show a warning on the front panel. I will upload the cpu-z info in an hour or so.

Try to flash file D3289-B1.UPD from BIOS for RX2540 M2.

With the efiflash.exe provided with the bios file it gives a mismatch board variant error. Tried with afudos/afuefi but didn't work (problem getting flash information)

Any other tool recomendation?

cannot identify the bios eeprom.... it should be stored inside a microcontroller, none of the eeproms I can find has the bios info on them

This one has RAM related stuff:

This one is too little and I guess it has the board info stuff

Ummmm I did flash it already with the B1 version and did not worked (no boot). After flashing it, the RAM was not detected and the BMC reported that the BIOS installed was the A1.

The file I did uploaded to mega is not correct, I think I did delete the dump...

Are you sure that D3289-B1.UPD was used? Not D3289-B1.ROM?
