I'm having trouble opening the BIOS image but I know this is an award BIOS and its an ASUS board so we may also be able to find a retail match.

Do you need more information to help find a retail match. Are there any programs that I can run to extract more information. I can take better pictures of the board. I can provide version 5.01 (02/02/07) of the bios that i backuped with winflahs 1.90.

I took a dozen pictures while I was changing my cpu but only 2 of them came out good. I make a imageshack account and uploaded the pictures there. The images are 10 Megapixel (3.8 MiBytes) each. I will take some more picture latter.

link to pictues

Edit: I took more pictures. Uploading 11 more pictures. Will take about 10 minutes to complete.

Im pretty sure this would match one of the ASUS M2N retail boards. What I would do is get the full spec sheet of HPs site and start matching it to boards on ASUS' site. I'll do the same.

I have downloaded the user manual of some of the board and here what I found.

Some of the boards with the 430 chipset use a geforce 6100 and other use a 6150. Some have gigabit ethernet. Some use soundmax adi audio and other use acl662 (my board uses a alc888). Some have a extra pci-e x1 + pci slot. Some only have 2 memory slot. Some have 8 Mb bios chip and other have a 4 Mb (my is 4 Mb , it think).

Boards with nForce 430 OR 430 mcp chipset:
m2n / m2n DH / m2n Telsky (430 mcp, no video, 4x DIMM, extra pci/pcie x1, gigabit lan, soundmax, 4Mb bios)
m2n-mx (430 mcp, 6100, 4x DIMM, gigabit lan, soundmax, 4Mb bios)
m2n-mx se (430, 6100, 2x DIMM, no pcie x1, 100Mb lan, soundmax, 2 sata, 4Mb bios)
m2n-mx se plus (430, 6100, 2x DIMM, no pcie x1, 100Mb lan, soundmax, 2 sata, 8Mb bios)
m2n-vm se (430 MCP, 4x DIMM, 6100, soundmax, gigabit lan, 4 Mb bios)
m2n-x plus (430, 2x DIMM, extra pci/pcie x1, ALC662, 100Mb lan, 8 Mb bios)
m2n-xe (430, 2x DIMM, extra pci/pcie x1, alc662, gigabit lan, 8 Mb bios)
m2npv-mx (430 mcp, 6150, 4x DIMM, 2 IDE, soundmax, gigabit lan/marvel, 4 Mb bios)
m2npv-vm (430 mcp, 6150, 4x DIMM, 2 IDE, soundmax, gigabit lan/marvel, 4 Mb bios)

Boards with other chipset:
m2n-e
m2n-e sli
m2n-plus sli vista
m2n-sli
m2n-sli deluxe
m2n-x
m2n32 Deluxe wifi
m2n32 Premium

m2n68-am plus
m2n68-am se
m2n68-am se2
m2n68-cm

Board I have not looked at yet (I assuming these boards are slight variation of the boards above):
m2n 1394

the GPU is actually of little concern, the 6100 and 6150 run on either VGA ROM. Now, after seeing that you have the MCP61 chipset, you are possibly in very good hand. IF you are careful and are willnig to test this, then this may be super successful for you. If you read the link to the blog post below, you will see that we have unlocked over 7 boards now using one ABIT BIOS that supports the nforce 430 6100/6150 chipset. Your board could possibly support it as well. Read this article and tell me what your thoughts are, but I think that its a viable option.

BIOS and Instructions you would follow: http://www.bios-mods.com/blog/?p=142
More information about the logic: http://www.bios-mods.com/blog/?p=192

Thanks,

Oh my dear, this just another step to succeed with these MCP61's... I really hope so! When the abit-bios works, then it is nearly impossible that the foxconn works to? I hope so!

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

It look like there's a good chance it will work since the nettle2/3 use the same mcp61p chip.
Has anyone had a failure with this bios for this chipset?
Has any of the flashes with this bios been made with a asus made motherboard?
Anything else I should do not mention in the guide?
What do you mean exactly by being careful?( like flash in dos + no power off/restart while flashing careful.)
