I need to unlock the BIOS of my Sony Vaio laptop. So far, I used BACKUP_Tools12.exe and the results are attached in this thread. Is this all I need to do? What else should I do?

Here You go :

http://rghost.net/7XC9RL5hz

Try 1st to flash from Windows . . .
Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), after this
execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

If You get some error then follow instruction and flash From Pure DOS
using an USB Stick !

Hi BDMaster. I got an error, so I used Rufus to set up Free DOS on the USB stick. But when I restart, it doesn't boot into Free DOS. I got the laptop set to boot from external devices, but again, it doesn't boot from the USB stick.. Please help.. thanks.

Hi BDMaster.. Ok I set the BIOS to Legacy and I'm now able to go into Free DOS at boot.

I got 2 questions:

1) What commands do I need to enter exactly?
2) The instructions say to run Flash.bat to update. I dont understand.. Will my BIOS be updated and if so, why does it need to be updated?
