[REQUEST] overclocking customization for HP z820 workstation
#1
I have two HP z820 workstations which I would like to overclock. I know this may be a challenge, but I still think it's possible. I will include a link to some pictures which should provide some additional insight into my system details. Not sure if this is the right sub forum, but I wanted to check in and see if there was any hope to possibly modify the base clock settings? Or possibly force the turbo multi to be used at all times? I am willing to pay you to find a solution here, because I really love the z820, and I want to keep it around for the last time. But in order to do that I need to bring more horsepower to the table. So take a look at the attached pictures and let me know one way or the other if this is feasible or just a pipe dream.

THANK YOU!

Just wanted to bring this back to the top, any chance we can work some magic on this machine? I've upgraded to two E5 2673 v2 110w TDP 4.0GHz turbo 8 core / 16 thread for a total of 16 cores and 32 threads on this z820... please respond willing to pay someone to modify this bios so I can overclock the system.

The CPU liquid cooling system on the z820 is basically second to none (still) and could easily handle another 100W to each CPU without any modifications....

So I ask again, give me something to work with you will be greatly rewarded....

It’s a shame there’s no option for Z820 overclocking. The machine could do so much more.
What would it take to modify the bios?
My setup is as follows.
HP Z820, Two Xeon E5 2687w v2, RTX 3080, 32GB
Would be great to get a bit more out the cpu for gaming.
There’s loads of these systems available these days for pretty good prices.

Im reviving this old thread because I still have two z820 rigs and I would really love to get more out of them.

Any takers out there today that could possibly look into this overclocking situation?
