Bios Revision : 1.05
Bios Type : Phoenix Bios

Release Date: 26 jan 2011

Support models ThinkPad Edge 13" (Machine types: 0217, 0221, 0250)

- BIOS $0A84000_mod_SLIC.ROM for Machine types: 0217 and 0250 with BIOS ID 84xxxxxx
- BIOS $0A85000_mod_SLIC.ROM for Machine type: 0221 with BIOS ID 85xxxxxx

ThinkPad Edge 13 and Edge E31_84uj07us_SLIC21_no_whitelist.zip

Upon opening the WinPhlash (32 or 64 bit), click "browse", choose the biosmod for your model, click "Advanced Settings" then check and uncheck the boxes so it looks like this:

[ ] Verify BIOS part number
[ ] Flash only if BIOS version is different
[ ] Flash only if BIOS version is newer
[ ] Verify BIOS image size
[ ] Verify BIOS checksum
[ ] Zero block before erasing

it is usually better to change only one PCI ID instead of the whole white list to delete?

that's easier not better. The whitelist is not realy removed, the bios code is changed to allow using any WLAN/WWAN card.
