[Request] BIOS Unlock for Panasonic CF-MX4
#1
I have Panasonic CF-MX4 (japan version). CF-MX4EDMBP. And i want to integrate WWAN module in it.

I have soldered socket to connect WWAN module. But BIOS does not show Wireless WAN  in Advanced -> Wireless configuration. I think that BIOS reads model number or other hardware configuration options somewhere and understand that this notebook was not WWAN equipped from factory.

So i have 3 options:
- permanently unlock this option in BIOS setup and turn it on;
- make more hardware mods - cut pins that block WWAN (WDISABLE and interface switching signals) module and solder them to ground.
- disassemble BIOS and understand where is the hardware configuration options and modify it.

Download for original BIOS
It is AMI. I have tried AMIBCP to hack it. But haven't find any menu structure ;(

Furher results.
I have added BIOS downloaded with AFUWIN from windows (afuwinmx4-2.zip in attachment).
I have modded it with AMIBCP 5.01 (afuwinmx4-hax.zip in attachment)
I have flashed modded BIOS and nothing Sad Wireless WWAN setup entry still not accessible ):

Attached Files
.zip   afuwinmx4-2.zip (Size: 3.37 MB / Downloads: 14)
.zip   afuwinmx4-hax.zip (Size: 3.35 MB / Downloads: 14)

#3
Today i have read BIOS with external programmer and find more interesting stuff.
- afuwin have dumped only part (6Mb) of whole BIOS (16Mb)
- afuwin haven't changed anything (when i flashed modded BIOS).
- i have dumped whole (16Mb) BIOS (g1.zip in attachemt), patched it with AMIBCP and flashed it back with external programmer.

Good news - Wireless WWAN menu entry in BIOS setup now accessible.
Bad news - it haven't changed anything. WWAN module is absent in device manager and vendor's software (wireless switch utility) doesn't show WWAN configuration button Sad
