[Request][Help] Lenovo IdeaPad Z710
#1
Hi, I'm looking for unlocked BIOS for notebook Lenovo IdeaPad Z710, I would like to convert it without a programmer, I found the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SkBFkzOW0A but unfortunately I don't know how to use this guide to modify the BIOS Z710.

Link to original BIOS:
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products...s/DS100523 (Released 11/25/2014, Version 7FCN96WW)

Very, very thanks in advance for your help and very best regards

I'm very keen on UEFI options, USB Boot UEFI mode I have blocked (In UEFI mode when I turn I haven't to choose CD, I don't have to boot from the disk, or USB)

PS. I have placed the system in legacy mode

If Bios Lock is working then We can reflash your Bios Mod back !
So We have to make some tests using Sleep Bug and EFI IFR FalseClock Method !
Look here :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...-EFI-shell

3. Take USB stick and format to FAT32
4. Create directory structure EFI\Boot
5. Download BOOTX64.EFI    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?81vegw2aw0pxcib
6. Put downloaded file to Boot directory.
7. Restart and enter BIOS setup.
8. Make sure you have following values:
Legacy Support: Disable
Secure Boot: Disable
9. Reboot and press F9 to boot from USB stick
10. Give commands:

setup_var 0x4AB 0x0
setup_var 0x305 0x2
setup_var 0x220 0x1

11. Reboot your Windows and make again a result file

use this tool run It as Admin and upload here the result fle :

http://rghost.net/58219938

http://rghost.net/53128665

Then do this test too :

Try to check the Sleep Bug if is Actived yet !
So put your laptop into Sleep Mode (Close the Lid), and then
Wacke-Up It (open the Lid), then redo the result files !

Let me know
Regards

P.S. Upload all test results files here naming well them !

OK, I check this, but I have error in grub 2 line "File not found"

WTF? Secure Boot from BIOS Setup has disappeared, and when I want to upload the modified WhitelistBIOS by InsydeFlashx64, I got the error "It only supports a secure flash BIOS on current platforms."

What this mean ?
"and when I want to upload the modified WhitelistBIOS by InsydeFlashx64"

You have to follow the instructions so apply the commands setup_var and then exit from
EFI and go to Windows !
Then execute as Admin Bios Backup Tool12 !
Have You applied the commands ?
Look the video You posted me and see how to !

Try to Clear CMOS on MoBo so use a jumper if present or remove the Battery 3Volts from MoBo,
remove RAM Module too to reset them, then remount all and try again !
