[REQUEST] Lenovo ThinkPad T450(s) (JBETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#11
okay, I got the hardware. Now I would follow the instructions of the thread you posted. First getting a full dump of the current bios and then using your modded one for flashing, right? Smile

EDIT: Alright, obviously not the way to go, since it does not even boot with the modded bios. I uploaded you the extraced bios from the chip as *.bin and *.hex, hope that does help somehow?! Smile

Oh and before I forget for all the people out there:
The EEPROM chip is under the black cover close to the CPU. When you take out the SODIMM and pull back the cover ledge towards the CPU, you cannot miss it!

Best regards!

Ok You right and here is the Firmware Mod so using SPI PGM write back It !
As You have the SPI PGM I would to try the Advanced Unlock Mod too !
I will update two files then You can try both and then report !
So I ask to prepare with Original Bios yet the Menu Tabs Screenshots (some
pics) to see all Tabs into this Bios and then after the Bios ADV flash
do the same to show the differences !
Let me know
Regards

I tried your new version and directly plugged in the WWAN card as well - notebook did not boot. Did not even show the three LED blinks when putting in the power adapter (with the other modded *.bin file that worked yesterday). I am flashing back the original file atm.

EDIT: Hmn, problem: totaly dead with the original bios as well?! I can detect and read/write the EEPROM - but no sign of power activity when I am done : / Never had that problem yesterday. Any ideas?

EDIT2: Disconnected the internal battery from the motherboard and the CMOS (? little battery) as well. After reconnecting, I was able to boot. I reflash your modded bios again atm and hope it will boot this time Smile

EDIT3: It worked! After flashing the system beeped 4-5 times, paused, beeped 4-5times and then booted twice - I don't exactly know why (even from the tech manual of lenovo), but now it just works and the device manager shows the WWAN Card - awesome, thank you so much!
