[Request] insyde bios hp dv-7 4169wm
#11
I did not tell you to manualy select your drivers i told you to use the auto-detect on AMD's site. If possible goto HP support/drivers and get the old CCC from them for your laptop then if that installs goto AMD's site and use the AUTO-DETECT

Have you ran a driver sweeper on your laptop before posting here?

1: Uninstall current CCC
2: open device manager uninstall the 4250 and 5470 from there by right clicking device and clicking uninstall
3: reboot this will reinstall the default drivers no CCC
4: reboot again
5: Goto AMD site select autodetect and let that install CCC 12.3 This should get you the catalyst mobilty utility x64
6: install what autodetect gives you.
7: enjoy CCC 12.3

yes ran it before posting here
here is what i did
1: uninstalled through install manager everything
2: Rebooted
3: uninstalled drivers through device manager
4:rebooted
5 did the auto detect through amd's website
6: rebooted cause it said i needed to
and still no CCC
so i tried to manually isntall ccc in C:\AMD\Support\12-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc\Packages\Apps\CCC2\Utility

This would have been nice to know at first would of saved alot of typing. Since you ran a drive sweeper. And as i stated CCC/AMD does not play well with drive sweepers. This i do believe is still a sticky on AMD forums. So save what you can start up HP system recovery and reformat and reinstall windows. Have fun :p After windows is reinstalled you can then goto AMD's site auto-detect and it will update itself right over the original CCC you will get back after windows reinstall. Then comes the over 200 updates fro windows yay lol.

You can attempt if you have a restore point before you ever ran a driver sweeper. If not but haven't heard any luck on that as driver sweepers bork CCC or a tag CCC needs to install not exactly sure on pure details there. But give it a go if that don't work happy reinstalling Smile

GPU should range anywhere from 50c-70c amd's are not to found of high temps and usually try to keep it under 70c hottest i even got mine has been 68c. Heavy gaming and over clocked. There is a lot in the lower left corner your HDD, and a the intergrated or the discrete never cracked my laptop that open to see which was placed where on the systemboard. i believe is around that area under the ctrl,fn,alt keys. Get yourself a good chillpad for gaming purposes. Also is a nice place for it to get warm kinda lets you know since your hand is always there that you should take a break once in a while. I have a chillpad and get lil heat there. Also make sure you do your maintance of blowing out the coils in the upper right where the fan is this will allow better cooling.
