Request please - Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720
#1
I cannot enable the Msata caching ability (to cache my 5400rpm 1TB hdd) as the Sata options in the bios are limited to ATA and ACHI modes and I really need the raid on mode / Smart Response mode / Rapid Start mode option to be available which it isn't.

Please help me..

Bios download link - A01

The msata caching ability has been added to the new A08 BIOS for Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720. Here's a link: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/DriverDetails/Product/inspiron-17r-se-7720?driverId=76N71&fileId=2998272941

However, there is an option i'd like to see in the BIOS and it's still absent. As seen in this screen (http://i.imgur.com/jCjVl.jpg where "écran de portable" is "monitor" in French), the iGPU is used to display the screen. I've got some dithering and I'd like to switch the graphics card used for the screen to the Nvidia one, to see if this corrects my issue. This option is unavailable in the BIOS (Nvidia optimus allows me to switch the graphics card for each program, but in the end it's always the iGPU which displays the picture on the screen). So I'd like to know if it's possible to allow a complete graphics switch in the BIOS.

Thank you Smile

Is it actually possible to unlock the Phoenix SecureCore Tiano BIOS on this Dell laptop? I'm hoping someone will be able to crack it fairly soon as I too would like to have mine unlocked pretty badly. Thanks in advance.
