Same BIOS Lenovo G50-70 and Lenovo Z50-70

Hi,

i have a Lenovo laptop model Z50-70 wiith integrated Intel video card and discrete nvidia GT 820M 3D card. Long time ago Nvidia video card stops working with windows code 43.

This days i try to recover this Nvidia card and when i try to update BIOS with Lenovo utilities i see that is not possible because my BIOS is different that utility needs to flash BIOS. I attach photo of error. Also in Lenovo web when support software detect my serial number says that my laptop is not a Z50-70, it says that is a g50-70 ¿?

Some time ago i had a problem with motherboard and one technical service solves this, i think  they change motherboard or reflash BIOS and modify my laptop model and laptop serial number from Z50-70 to G50-70-

My question is if its possible to flash in my laptop version 9BCNXXWW without problems to try to solve problems with Nvidia GT820m card. I open laptop and motherboard have this Nvidia chip.

Is same physical BIOS of G50-70 and Z50-70 motherboard?

Hi, thanks for fast repply, i attach cpu-z screens for integrated intel video card ( works fine) and for nvidia 820m ( always error 43)

Yes, by the bios version true but model im sure is Z50-70, i attach photo of laptop label.

Also G50-70 dont have any version with Nvidia 3D cards, was only with AMD video cards.

May be when technical service repaired laptop they change bios chip...

it's definitely not the same, yesterday I accidentally flashed the z5070 bios image to my g5070 computer. it does not detect the video card, browsers do not work. I could barely fix it. I didn't understand what you wanted to do

In my case i have a Z50-70 laptop but when a technical service repair it put a bios version for G50-70...
I check my motherboard and its 100% sure its Z50-70, also bios chip is correct, its model 25B64BSIG but have a BIOS version 9ACN26WW ( version for G50-70), i think by this its not possible to use Nvidia GT 820M chip i have...

Then i'm trying to flash BIOS with version 9BCN91WW using insydeh20flash tool but i cant. I change platform.ini file to dont check BIOS ID and BIOS version but whem computer restart to flash BIOS give an error : "update BIOS failed". I dont know why... i continues trying.

I have 9BCN91WW in a file Intel.fd, may be possible to use frtw64 to flash this file?.
