Shuttle SX79R5 Xeon E5-2667 v2 / E5-1680 v2
#1
Hey there,

I recently read this thread about Xeon microcode in the Shuttle SX79R5:
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-S...2670-v2-ES

My Bios is the same (SX79R000.201) as attached in that thread.
Official Shuttle Website:
http://global.shuttle.com/products/produ...uctId=1607

So I wonder if it is possible to install a xeon 2667v2 in this machine?
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html

Otherwise a E5-1680v2
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html

Would you please be so kind and check those 2 for me?
Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you in advance!

Hans

I just wanted to say thank you for this page and especially @DeathBringer

I bought a 2667v2 and it worked.

I know its a old rig and maybe no one is doing that but I just wanted to confirm that it works.

Cya!
