[Solved] Medion Akoya P7624 (MD98970): Ivy Bridge Support

I'm looking for unlocked BIOS for Medion Akoya P7624 (MD98970). I like to upgrade the CPU from i5-2450M (Sandy Bridge) to an i7-3610QE (Ivy Bridge). I am not shure its possible or i need to unlock the CPU in BIOS. That why i like an unlocked BIOS before i try the other CPU. Here is the Medion Site

On the Support Site there no official BIOS Update to download.

I attached some Pics of CPU-z and BIOS Screen. If something need more, please tell me.


One more Question. How about the Manage Engine? My version is 7.1.10.1065. Can I flash with the BIOS-Mod the latest?

Your laptop is based on HM65 chipset without support Ivy Bridge. There is no way to add this support.

here i read https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/C...610QE.html that is support HM65. Thats the onest CPU with Ivy Bridge, that support HM65.
