Toshiba Satellite L650-1NT - bios modification for i7-820QM
#1
Hello, I need a bios modification for Toshiba Satellite L650-1NT to support 4-core processors for example i7-820QM. Is there such a possibility?

OK.
Explain exactly what happens when you try to boot with new CPU.

In general, the laptop responds to the switch, but there is no picture. To turn it off I have to hold down the button for a long time, which is not the case with a running processor. The processor itself heats up also gets power.

I haven't found any problems (in this BIOS) related to Clarksfield core.
This laptop officially supports Arrandale only.
So I think it's hardware incompatibility.

So there is no way to run this processor in this laptop? Will any of the 4 core processors designed for this sockets work?

And another processor designed for this sockets from i7 series 4 core would work?

Read this thread attentively.
There is no quad-core CPU with the Arrandale core.
