[Unlocked] Proove of concept, Acer Aspire One 110/150 Bios unlocked
#11
camiloml, is your BIOS for the 10" Aspire One D110/150 or the 8.9" Aspire One A110/150? I've got the A110, but don't like to crack it. I don't have the test clips to flash back the BIOS if things go south. Smile

The hardware model of mine is written as "ZG5"

Mine was ZG5 8,9" too, and this one always can be flashed by FN+ESC so don't worry Wink

Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

Nice day.

dammit, this is insane! Big Grin
A whole bunch of settings unlocked and no need to find out an other way. AHCI, multiprocessing (though, if it's not about HT it'll be useless - since no Mobile Atoms had dual cores). And a lot of power options to play with. I was going to write an article about extending Acer A110 capabilities for old school gaming. And this one will definitely greatly improve it!

Thanks, camiloml Smile

One more thing to look at when you have some free time - it would be nice to disable the integrated 512MB of memory say by cutting out the integrated SPD info (it's in the BIOS). But it might require some checksum corrections. This would give the ability to install 2GB of RAM which would be nice for Win7 for example Smile

Please, take a look. I can give you the section where the SPD is.

camiloml, I'll be glad if you look into this thing about integrated SPD:

I've highlighted the beginning of both SPD's so that you can find them. Each is 128 bytes. One for Hynix chips and the other for Samsung.

Could you either disable the SPD or just replace it with zeros to disable the integrated memory?

Will be waiting for your reply!

I will look at this. Wink
