.zip   LENOVO-N11ET30W(1.06).zip (Size: 2.86 MB / Downloads: 16) I forgot to add the details and a backup of my BIOS. I have no data on the approved lenovo version of this card.

Looking for more info on the card.

Thanks,

Hello,

I have a problem so I need advice and information.

My problem is I have a Lenovo ThinkPad W550s laptop. I bought it cca. 5 years ago with WWAN option but without WWAN card. I checked Lenovo support what WWAN card compatible with laptop and I bought a Sierra AirPrime EM7345 4G LTE card 3 years ago. The WWAN card worked fine until last year.

Last year Microsoft released Windows 10 2004 version then 20H2 version and EM7345 hasn't worked since. Latest Lenovo WWAN driver released 2017 and they they don't want to release new firmware for the card. I reported the problem to Microsoft and Lenovo but they point at each other and they don’t do anything. And I haven’t been able to use the mobile internet since last year.

I tried to install Sierra AirPrime EM7455 4G LTE WWAN card (Lenovo supports this but not in this laptop) but the laptop won't boot. I think the BIOS white list makes this happen.

- What do you think it is true?

I think the solution if I might be to turn off white list checking in the BIOS.

- Could this be a solution?

I don't understand this and I'm new to the forum too, so I need help if it's all safe.

- Is it safe to change the BIOS in this way?

- If I send a request to modificate the BIOS, how can I update the BIOS with it?

- If I want to reload the original factory BIOS then how can I do it?

- Lenovo use exe file for BIOS upgrade, can this be modificated?

- The laptop hadn't included originally WWAN card I installed it later. What PCI ID need for modification?

- Is there anything else needed to disable the BIOS white list?

I apologize for the many questions.
Thank you for your help.

Thanks and Regards
