(request) HP dv6-3103sa
#1
Hey,
couple of friends asked me to update their wireless cards for 5GHz N networks, installed them, no problems on the Vaio, but the HP (dv6-3103sa) wasn't having any of it. First I learned of whitelisting...

- Bios download link Download from HP
- PCI ID of original Wifi/WWAN card: Not got the ID yet, (will try when I see him).
- "If the bios is RSA signed an acknowledge to be aware of the risks and an acceptance of them"?? not sure what this means.
- The hard drive has been fully formatted multiple times, no hp tools left.
- The downloadable file name is sp52619.exe (Version:F.27)

anything else I can do to help? Thanks for your time, and any advice/help you give.

Dave

Did you know how to use the search engine of the forum? Smile

Just click on search in the top left corner of the forum and then search for sp52619 Smile voila, there's a thread in the confirmed section of wifi whitelist check removed Smile

Try renaming to 0143F.BIN and place on

x:\HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\CURRENT

assuming x: is the letter for a fresh formatted FAT or FAT32 pendrive.

Then try the WIN+B procedure, if that doesn't work you need a complete recovery set.
