update bios or downgrade
#1
i have a dv7-6197ca that was running f.1a modded to remove whitelist but today my computer update itself to the new f.13 bios and after i rest my laptop i had to remove my wlan card to boot. so my question is is it easier or possible to downgrade your bios back to f.1a our should i give all the info to mod the new bios version f.1a? is it possible to remove whitelist entirely on this version like was done to f.1a?

this is a link to the new bios f.1b sp55068 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100034-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5136831&sw_lang=
i want to use my intel unlimted wifi card like i was befor i updated to f.1 any help is appreciated

I think you can go back to F1A if you don't need F1B.

But just in case Smile

it did work, i update to the one you gave me and it works perfectly....there is one question i have.my laptop has switch able graphics and by default its switched to auto switch but i would like to switch it to permanently on(this is a option in bois). i remember when i got the first moddd biois there was something about not being able to touch any settings in bios.is there a way I could alter this setting with out harming my computer or is it just not possible with my bios in my laptop? thanks again for the modded bios version Smile
