Smile I have backup of bios.... I made a mistake....
Hello to this great community Smile

I would like to unlock bios so i can install a new wifi card and have the option for legacy boot(uefi locked). My laptop is similar to junkyard dawg's one(just a different cpu model)

Product: Lenovo Yoga 2 11
Model: 20332
CPU: Intel Pentium N3520 (Bay Trail)
Current BIOS: 92CN93WW (Version 1.93) Bios/Uefi

Is it possible to do that without a programmer?

thanx in advance and excuse me for my english.
I encountered a problem programmer, and laptop didnt work after update its original bios image.... but when i reflash after many many times...Laptop started working! Dudu2002 once said that the problem in the programmer! I have Gzut NewOnePro with soic8 clips

After that Dudu removed whitelist check from bios image and sent me. Reflash and all become fine)

Thank you Dudu for your support and work!  Blush
I donate some to your Paypal!
Hi friends,
I got the same laptop (Bay Trail), with Bios 92CN93WW too.
I needed to change the wlan card due to malfunction of the genuine parts, i decided to bough an intel, then i discover this F!$ç|=G protection.
I'm ready to do anything to remove it. Using a modified or modifying the original bios is it possible, or buying a programmer is needed ?

Thanks, best.
Seb.

The original Atheros wifi card is extremely awful.
I agree

I think I have something that may help you.

1. Boot into Ubuntu live cd
2. Open a terminal
3. go to /sys/firmware/efivars/ or something like that
4. Make the variables writable: sudo chattr -i
5. Install ghex
6. run 'sudo ghex SCUShowHiddenPage............' (it is too long, so just push tab at the end)
7. Change the last 0 to 1
8. Reboot and you should have an Advanced Tab
9. Enter Advanced>Chipset Configuration>Bios Lock and set it to Disabled
10. Now go to Advanced>Wireless Configuration and configure that to your needs
11. Then go to Advanced>Audio Configuration and change the Audio Device Driver to Intel (that is the best option)

12. Boot up into windows and install drivers

Wifi and audio should work better until Lenovo releases an update.
I have only tested this on the latest Lenovo yoga 2 11 bios
