No try anyway to flash It !
Let me know
Regards
My current bios has eeprom write protected and spi lock enabled. Do you suggest try flashing it either way with the bios you provided?

Thanks.
Freedos from rufus does not allow my laptop to boot to usb. The laptop does not see the usb boot stick at all but recognized my windows 8 usb boot disk when I switched it out during bootup.

I tried the freedos usb boot on two different laptops and it works without a problem.

My Yoga will only boot to a usb if its pure UEFI which mean it must use an efi bootloader.
You have to unlock UEFI Legacy USB so set a Bios SVP (SuperVisor Password)
then Disable SecureBoot and set Legacy USB Boot !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. I will try to prepare an efi Bios Mod !

Thanks for the reply BD.

The BIOS does not have an option to support Legacy USB Boot or the option to unlock uefi legacy usb which I wish it did. I'm very sure of this. I tried freedos with secureboot disabled and fastboot disabled which it didn't do anything. I can try setting a bios supervisor password but wouldn't that just restrict access to certain features in the bios?

I will wait for your efi bios mod. Smile Thanks again.
Ok prepare an USB Stick with UEFI Shell and then copy into the files from
this folder :

http://rghost.net/6BXjCtgPF

Boot into EFI Shell and run this comand :

fpt -f bios.bin -bios

Let me know
Regards
I was able to boot with an efi shell. When I did the fpt -f bios.bin -bios command, seem like it was reading the usb cause the light was blinking on the usb and then it did nothing.

Getting close Smile
The fpt.efi application is there in the shell. Could it might be executing the application with a different command?
BD, see link provided for error.
