For those who are interested in doing this, please watch this youtube video. It may seem daunting, but its not too bad. If the chip doesn't detect using the software, reattach the clip until it does. Read the BIOS multiple times and do a checksum between the files (save these as a backup). Get the file modded; erase the bios; verify bios is erased; then write it the modded bios; read the modded bios; checksum between original modded bios and the read bios you just flashed. There you are done. Good luck and thanks for you help!

^^Worked a treat. Tip for anyone that also enables the advanced BIOS options, go into Advanced > Video Configuration > Internal Graphics Device and make sure Panel Colour Depth is set to 24-bit, or your screen will be washed out.

Have enabled advanced hidden bios using ubuntu.
Have set
Secure boot to disabled for security configuration
turned bios to unlock for chipset configuration

Need to activate SATA 3.0. Currently Lenovo has limited bios SATA interface link to SATA 2.0

I haven an old Lenovo Yoga 2 11" Convertible Laptop, Quad-Core Intel Pentium, 4GB RAM, 500GB + 8GB SSHD, 11.6" Touch Screen, Clementine Orange laptop. I tried to change the famously crap WIFI-card, but it looks like the bios has a whitelist...
This is the WIFI i tried with: Intel 7260.HMW Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Network adapter PCI Express Half Mini Card 802.11 b/a/g/n/ac.
