1. Download and run the FUJITSU BIOS update from the website...
2. The program will give a warning dialog saying the BIOS version is the same. While running, go to TEMP folder
3. Edit biosheader.ini and replace SLIC2.1 ROM"
4. Go back to the program and Flash...
Am I right?
Or should I go download the ZIP, run FlashAid.exe

no problem
Grab the Fujitsu U820 v1.22 HP 2.1 SLIC By 1234s282.zip that was posted by 1234s282. All the files you need are in there. Extract out zip file and open up the included biosheader.ini file. It will currently say Checksum=0. Change that to read Checksum=0XA9AE and save the file. All this does is tell flashaid not to expect 0x0000 for checksum. It defaults to this 0 value even if no entry is in the ini file. Run flashaid. It will pass the format not correct message and move on to the this bios is the same version you have installed are you sure... Click Yes. Click through all the next screens and then check that you agree to all the warnings. On the final box it will freeze your system for a few seconds while its flashing, the image will change to red saying its flashing. When it's done (about 10 seconds) a new message will pop up telling you flash complete and it needs to reboot with a count down timer. Reboot. I would go into the BIOS on the first reboot and reset the BIOS to Defaults. For me it was needed as I could not get by the OS logon screen the first boot. Reseting the BIOS to defaults and it worked fine on next boot... good luck
ps if you use any other rom than what was posted a new checksum must be used. that one I posted is only for the rom that was linked in my first post.
If you still have the original FUJ SLIC modded BIOS and wanted to use that one instead. You can use this utility to calculate the checksum needed for the biosheader.ini It is a console app, command line only. run from the same folder the rom is located. usage is simple exe and rom file name. fujflashck.exe bios_data.rom
It will tell you if the checksum is other than 0 and what it needs to be to pass the flashaid test using the GABI driver. The other driver like GREEK2 flashdrv.sys does not use the biosheader.ini for checksum, I'm still looking for over ride switch for that one. For your version, it uses GABI so no problems with checksum.

Major Problem...
It is a FRESH Windows install, I flashed as you suggested...
It seems like the BIOS is corrupted...
I cannot get it past POST... It will not boot from HDD or any bootdisk I put in...
I can get to the BIOS, I can see the BIOS, but not anything after...
I 've done the F9 Setup Defaults too... No Go...

1234s282 might have some info on that. does that bios have a reset ESCD? If so try that. I've read where others have done a clear cmos with jumper to clear any corrupt stored entries.
On the other forum there are a few postings on recover from bad flash. http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=2105
Hey I just dumped the bios rom and noticed the ACPI1.ROM is missing from your mod. Edited not missing, different rom? twice size, SSDT table. Also - STRINGS0.ROM is a mismatch where one byte was inserted on Advanced byte 20h which is also the same byte added in OLD1.RLS.
The download link for BusyKid was not working for me yesterday. Today it is. That rom is complete.
edited to correct not missing, my compare tool was trying to correct it.

No Battery. Not Plugged. Pressed n Hold Fn+F. Plug Power, No battery, Power On. Waited 10 minutes, yields NOTHING...
Fn+ Other Known Keys gets me nowhere...
I tried my USB Recovery Crisis in my other computer... It boots the minidos, so I think it is working... I replaced the BIOS.WPH with BIOS_Data.ROM from Fujitsu site...
