[REQUEST] Sony Vaio VPCCB series (Rxxx0V2) BIOS Unlock

Here's a turorial on how to get to advanced or second advanced tab in bios setup. Update is possible by afuwin.exe.

Since the laptop support efi boot by default, but bios doesnt detect drives in the pci slot, you could try using rEFInd as transitional loader.
Thanks for your quick reply, I found the R2110V2 (Which I guess it's the latest) modded zip file, I'll give it a try. The UEFI option on the BOOT ist visible in that version?

Last question: My processor uses 45W in a 35W design motherboard, in your opinion should I undervolt it or the mobo provides all the power it needs?

Regarding the Radeon Graphics incompatibilities on Windows 11, I uninstalled the Radeon Software, the Intel driver, and it worked fine with its ver. 32.0.11030.8001. I leave this info in case someone comes with that same problem in the future.

I'll gather data over rEFInd, and will try to unterstand the tutorial for any other changes.

Thanks for your support, reducing e-waste is something positive and for a 10+ years laptop, it works decently.

Good evening,

I tried flashing this Bios Ver. 2110V2, but it didn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, which tool would I use to make a Bios Dump in this Vaio laptop? I'd like to have the latest modded Bios, in order to support a 45W processor, full Bios boot sequence and get the dedicated graphics as default, wenn possible.

The tutorial seems to be quite complicated, I was looking at the images and procedures, it may require some other previous knowledge.
If anyone has the knowledge for this specific model, I'd like to ask some technical questions.

Thank you, best regards

EDIT: I found the AMIBCP4.53, it's noob-friendly and fool-proof. If you are in the same situation I was before with an old laptop, there's no need to bother the modders here, the program requires to look at the options carefully, and avoid changing things we don't know.

After an editing of the options uefi boot, efi priority, graphics aperture, boot from dedicated graphics, pci 2.0 by default, the bios seems to be in order. I would like to find an updated version, to perform the same workaround on it. The R2110V2 I found here doesn't match my file in size. That will be my last request, I already learned how to modify the menues.

@Maxinator I have some issues trying to flash the modded Bios. I see there are win32 and dos options. Which option is the recommended one to avoid to brick it?
If you had any advice regarding these topics, I'll be very grateful.
Have a nice day, Marcos
