Dear all, good morning.
I'm facing a serious issue. I have a piece of equipment that is controlled by an AEON PFM-540i motherboard. The original board no longer outputs video and keeps beeping. So, I purchased a replacement motherboard of the same model.
The new board boots into Windows XP, but the equipment is still not recognized. I was informed by the equipment manufacturer that the BIOS is customized and that they do not provide a copy of it.
What I did was extract the BIOS from the defective motherboard and flash it onto the new one. However, after doing this, the new motherboard also started beeping on startup. This suggests that the BIOS I extracted might be corrupted and is preventing the system from initializing.
Could anyone help me understand how I might merge the custom BIOS from the defective board with the standard BIOS from the new one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Angelo
