[Request] Lenovo U150-6909
#1
I've been poking around various websites, and come real close to trying to do this myself, but I have now chickened out and am admitting this is over my head.

So if some kind individual could remove the bios whitelist check from my Lenovo U150-6909 I would be ever so grateful

There is no bios update from Lenovo for this laptop, so I extracted the bios using the backup tool, and put it here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6053...CN22WW.rom

Edit: it's a phoenix bios

edit 2: vendor ID is 14e4 and device ID is 4315

Thank you so much for your attention to my issue.

Here is a link to both of the requested outputs, though the second tool (BACKUP_tools12) gave some errors. Let me know if I need to do something different.

Really appreciate your help

Whoa, it can't be flashed like a normal bios?! WTF Lenovo!

doubtful that this would be worth it for me. sigh. This lappy is the last of my devices still on 802.11g, I was really hoping to move it up to N or AC. From what I can tell there is only one other card that will work with it, the 4965AGN, and it doesn't seem to come in half-height, and since I have a ssd in the full slot, the half slot is the only one I can use.

Or maybe i'll give modifying the ID of the card.

grr...this is probably my last Lenovo I ever buy.

Anyway, I really do appreciate your taking the time to figure this out for me. At least now I know what my options are instead of flailing at it. Thanks a bunch!
