BIOS Mod for Dell Inspiron 7447 A09 to Enable eGPU Support (Whitelist Removal

Hi everyone,
I'm working on setting up an external GPU (eGPU) for my Dell Inspiron 7447 and I’m looking for help (or sharing my progress) with modifying the BIOS (version A09) to remove restrictions or perform a clean mod that allows better eGPU compatibility via NGFF (M.2) slot.

System Info

• Laptop model: Dell Inspiron 7447
  
• BIOS Version: A09 (latest official release from Dell)
  
• Chipset: Intel HM87
  
• iGPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600
  
• dGPU: NVIDIA GTX 850M (switchable)
  

Objectives

• Remove or bypass BIOS whitelist (if present)
  
• Unlock hidden advanced BIOS settings (especially around PCIe or GPU config)
  
• Disable dGPU or switch GPU via BIOS (optional but helpful for eGPU setups)
  
• Ensure system doesn’t halt or throw error when external GPU is detected
