ACER M3300-U1332
#1
Try as I might ive been unable to find, anywhere, people even asking for a modded bios for this PC!

Im just trying to get into the overclocking options, simple enough, and hopefully its doable with the latest bios:

http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_Acer_P03.B0_A_A.zip?acerid=633977533783272857&Step1=Desktop&Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire%20M3300&OS=721&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=PA_7

Thats version 8B3A1P08 (P03-B0) dated 2009/12/30 according to the engineer notes in the archive.

Thats the direct ACER site DL right to the file. I already updated to this in hope that it would add the options I was looking for but no such luck, so now im resorting to this!

BOARD: FRS780M

Well thanks for the heads up, looks like a new mobo is in the future for me!

This morning i noticed this though: (From the update logs!)

=======================================================================
Revision: 8B3A1D03 Engineer Name: Jessie Wu Date : 03/27/2009
CheckSum: 8B1Bh Customer : Acer Backup : \\Apd-sd-888\sdvss
1. Add "ALT+F10" function.
2. Update SMBIOS for type 4,9,17.
3. Change "IDE" to "SATA" in boot device.
4. For primary Video show only issue.
5. Modify CPU speed to X.XX GHz.
6. Modify detecting HDD info during POST.
7. For show memory info during POST.
8. Some item can't be modified in SMBIOS.
9. For bootblock recovery function.
10.Patch for USB device in boot menu when usb is disabled issue.
11.Remove modem ring wake up.

=======================================================================

Thats an older BIOS I havent been able to find yet, but it DOES mention CPU timings. Also interesting to note is that In this bios there is a Frequency/Voltage tab, but nothing usable is under it, which leads me to wonder if at some point they didnt just remove it? Not hidden but removed?

Also there is one newer driver revision but its only changes seem to be this:
"Removes OA20 and set default SATA Mode as native IDE For linux BIOS"

Not knowing what OA20 WAS I didnt see fit to try it yet.

Perhaps they have removed it Sad

one thing you can try is to press Ctrl F1 or Ctrl F9 or Ctrl Home in the bios setup. Sometimes the motherboard requires this key combo to display advanced options

I tried this, in the bios main menu screen right? No results.
