AMI UEFI password lost on Acer RL85 - help removing it required

Following a reflash of my Acer Revo One RL85 BIOS with a USB chip flasher, I seem to have set a password which I now can't remember... I may have mistyped twice or something odd...

Anyway, can anyone assist with resetting the password (obviously I can't access the UEFI BIOS to do it the normal way).  I have Windows 10 working happily and can boot from a USB if needed.

Can you make a current dump of BIOS?
E.g. by Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 or afuwin.

I just tried R71P and r71p - both return "Invalid Password" unfortunately.

So it doesn't use simple algorithm.

I'll take your word on that - I really have no knowledge of BIOS code/structure, this is totally out of my area of expertise. Back in the old days of big case PC machines, I'd have been able to set a jumper and clear the CMOS to remove the password... this PC doesn't seem to work that way frustratingly.
