I've tried all of them and none is working, no reaction at all, except the speeding fan.

Have you also tried to rename the files to "BIOS.FD" (with uppercase letters)?
If none of the images are flashable anymore with both filenames, I'm not sure how to solve this problem unfortunately (other than using a SPI-programmer).

Maybe the recovery module inside the BIOS had some corruptions and caused this issue.
It's very strange that you could recover to 1.12 but not 2.12 at the beginning.

Hi. I have same problem. How could you solve it? I could flash 1.12 version renaming to "BIOS.fd" properly. It works, but I needed 2.12 version because my os is installed with UEFI and 1.12 version cannot load it. I flashed the first 2.12 posted here by @mclarke2355, but I get the same error posted, black screen other time. Now it does not matter if I have to reinstall OS via Legacy (1.12 version) but I need the laptop.

I am trying flash 1.12 other time but now the same pendrive is not recognized, blonking led does not start. I don't know what can I prove
