I want a mod that let me speed up the fans, and i dont want this version of BIOS i want the latest because when I wanted to install windows 7 I flashed my bios with the one in the acer site, since then my Vista crashed and forced me to install windows XP, neither Vista or 7 Install just freeze, i noticed that my system is always very hot, if you could help me.

R01-B0 is the latest bios for your machine , according to the Acer website. However the R01-B1 update there is dated 2008 so it must be more recent than the one you have currently

With regards to your fans , try disabling the Smart Fan Function in your bios first. This function is when the fans dont run full unless they are needed and its enabled by default. I think that disabling it should make your fans run at full speed all the time

Also , if your system is running too hot , try putting a few extra fans in if you have room , or replacing your existing fans with ones that move more air (look online , they are measured in CFM). Also try getting a new CPU Cooler and reapplying the layer of thermal paste between cpu and heatsink

However , ,only do this if you are confident about dismantling your pc , otherwise take it to a shop or get a knowledgable friend to do it for you!!
