Acer Travelmate 5740ZG

Hi there,

it is not really a request, but I dont know where to put it.

I have a Travelmate 5740ZG and need an unlocked bios to change some ram settings. I saw, that there is already an unlocked bios for the Aspire 5741G. It seems, that both devices use the same bios. Similar hardware, similar name, both at bios version 1.23, and the links on the acer website for the newest bioses seem to refer to the same file (BIOS_Acer_1.23_A_A.zip, same filesize).

So the question is: Can I use the unlocked bios of the aspire 5741G on my Travelmate 5740?

Little Update:

Acer Aspire 5741G and Travelmate 5740ZG use the same bios. (Probably every Acer 5740xx and 5741xx)

I tried three different unlocked bioses, but sadly there is no menu to change the ram settings.
