I have an Alienware M17x R2 (an old one) with A10 bios flashed from dell website. This laptop came with radeon 4870hd mobile gpu card (2 of them, crossfire). I decided to try upgrading to Nvidia GTX 580M. Seems like my mobo didn't recognize this gpu (system post failed).
My question is: if I flash A10 modded bios from link I posted above, will it help my mobo to recognize GTX 580M gpu? Any suggestions what I could try to make this gpu work?
Or is this bios mod only unlocks OC?
