Trying to unlock an older Pentium III Aptiva 2171-55U
I know the Multiplier is locked, but I'd like to see if the FSB can be increased.
The BIOS chip has copyright Phoenix on it, but it's branded by SMBC. The pulled bios is named Acer.
Attached the extracted BIOS
Let me know if you need more information.
Edit: Extracted the raw file from the Aptiva update App.
Can't seem to open it with any of the bios editors.
Does Acer manufacture bios code as well...?
