Asus P5PL2-E Core2 Quad Q6700 Support
#1
Star
Hi Guys,

I have an Asus P5PL2-E motherboard with bios version 1002 (last ever) without Core2 Quad CPU Support
Recently I have found that it is possible to run a Core2 Quad Q6700 on it
So I went for it and bought one
I have installed the Core 2 Quad Q6700 and it completely works and boots into OS.
The problem is the motherboard only detects 3 cores of the cpu instead of all four (both in the bios and os it shows 3 for the number of cores)
and when booting, bios shows: Intel CPU uCode loading error
Is it possible to add full support by adding microcode or doing something else?

CPU Spec Code:
SLACQ

Make DOS USB-stick (e.g, by Rufus), download and unzip all files for the modded version of CHECKUP7 to this DOS USB-stick.
Boot from this DOS USB-stick and make a photo of the screen with results.

Tried MS.DOS option in Rufus 2.2 with smaller USB drive (8GB)
Still same result

Progress:
uCode loading error is gone and system boots normally
A Big Thank YOU  Heart

Problem: Still detecting 3 out of 4 cores of CPU
Is there something that can be done about that?

Make a photo of BIOS page with CPU information.
